Oppo Reno 5 5G spesifikasinya tidak beda jauh dengan versi non 5G, perbedaan paling signifikan adalah di prosesornya yang versi 5G menggunakan SOC yang lebih unggung yaitu Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 765G sedangkan yang non 5G menggunakan Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 720G. Ada beberapa hal hal yang mesti di perhatikan.

Yang pertama adalah tidak ada dukungan MicroSD, jadi tidak ada slot untuk MicroSD tapi penyimpanan internal 128GB, seharusnya sudah lumayan cukup untuk sehari-hari. sementara itu, penggunaan penyimpanan Cloud akan jadi solusi kalau memang lebih dari 128GB pemakaiannya. Lalu kemudian, daya tahan baterai ini, terbilang baik karena pada pengujian pemutaran video biha bertahan hingga 21 jam lebih dengan baterai yang hanya 4300mAh.
